Grand Alpha - Joseph Moidl, Wisconsin '94
Brother Moidl graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering in 1994. As an undergraduate, Joe served as Chapter Alpha where he led his Chapter to a Most Outstanding Chapter Award and was recognized as Runner-Up for the Neal Hospers Outstanding Undergraduate Award. He also served the Greek Community as IFC Recruitment Chair where he overhauled the recruitment process and was awarded the Greek Man of the Year Award. Since graduation, Joe has continued his commitment to Phi Kappa Sigma by serving as Chapter Advisor to Beta Eta Chapter at North Texas from 1995-1997, Grand Delta - Midwest, from 1997-2000, Grand Theta from 2000-2004 and most recently as Grand Pi from 2004 to present. Joe has also been a strong supporter of the Men of Honor program where he has served as facilitator for over 5 years, is a founding member of the Fraternities Expansion Committee and serves as a board member for the Phi Kappa Sigma Foundation. Joe holds the position of Research and Development Manager for General Mills where, in 2005, he was awarded the Chairman of the Board's medal for corporate leadership. Joe lives in Otsego, Minnesota with his wife Alison and their two year old son, Joey. In addition to spending time with his family, in his spare time, Joe enjoys softball, camping, hunting, cooking and training his German Shorthaired Pointers, Ranger and Bounty.
Grand Beta - Christopher Campbell, Southern Maine '94
Brother Campbell graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 1994 with a B.S. in Criminology. He was elected Grand Theta in 2000 and before that served as Grand Delta of the South Atlantic region from 1999-2000. Chris worked for the International Headquarters as Director of Chapter Services from 1996-1999 and as an Educational Consultant from 1995-1996. Prior to Chris' employment with the Fraternity he worked as a part time police officer for the town of Kennebunk, Maine. Chris also worked as a staff assistant to former U.S. Congressman, James B. Longly, Jr. He currently is President & CEO of FOCION INC, a cross-strategy business solutions & marketing firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA.
Grand Pi - Todd McKinney, West Chester '88
Brother McKinney graduated from West Chester University in 1988 with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in Geography and Land Use Planning. He later earned a M.S. in counseling and psychology. Todd was appointed Pennsylvania Grand Delta in 2002 and served as Pennsylvania Assistant Grand Delta from 1998-2000 and was also the Pennsylvania Grand Delta from 1994-1998. Todd is the Associate Dean of Students at Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA and oversees the offices of Leadership Development, Student Activities & Wismer Campus Center, Greek Life, New Student Orientation, and Volunteer & Community Services. He was born and raised in Darby, PA but currently resides in Collegeville, PA with his wife Marion P. (Carvalho) McKinney, daughter Taylor Madison (6), and son Morgan Taylor who is 16 months old. Todd enjoys all aspects of jazz music, reading, history, comic book collecting, Hard Rock Café Pin collecting (let him know if you live near one), and photography. Grand Sigma - Doug Opicka, IIT '97
Brother Opicka graduated with high honors from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 1997 with a B.A. in Political Science (minor in Accounting) and later earned a M.S. in Public Administration. He was elected Grand Sigma in 2002, has served as a Director of Alpha Epsilon of Phi Kappa Sigma Educational Society since 1999 (currently as President) and also Chairs the Carroll K. Simons Scholarship Committee. As an undergraduate, Doug held many leadership positions including Alpha of his Chapter (along with many other positions), President of the Greek Council, Chairman of the Student Activities Fund, Vice Chair of the Student Body and he was also a Resident Advisor. He served as Chapter Advisor of Alpha Epsilon from 1997-2000, Assistant Grand Delta and Grand Delta for the Midwest before being elected to his current position. Doug has visited 40+ Chapters since his election as Grand Sigma, has participated in 7 Men of Honor Programs and four times represented the Fraternity at the annual NIC Conference including the Fraternal Caucus Hill Visits. Starting with the 88th Grand Chapter, Doug has participated in the Ritual Exemplification (Secrets & Symbols), first by helping Carroll Simons and subsequently by perpetuating Brother Simons' presentation. During his 3 terms on the Executive Committee, Doug has served on the Insurance, Grand Chapter, website, MCS Revision and Alumni Relations Committees in addition to serving as Chairman for both the 92nd and 93rd Grand Chapter Planning Committees. Doug has worked as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission at IIT, the Manager of Development and Implementation for Bswift, LLC, Project Manager/Technical Benefits Consultant for CCA Strategies and currently as a Manager for BearingPoint in their State & Local Government and Education consulting practice specializing in pension fund administration. Doug grew up outside of Green Bay and owns stock in the Green Bay Packers and coached 7th and 8th grade baseball during the summer for 6 years. During the Summer of 2007, Doug moved from Chicago, Illinois to Lexington, Kentucky to participate in a 3 year project for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Doug also has a tendency to frequent karaoke bars and sample fine cigars.
Grand Tau - James L. Fulmer, Alabama '65
Brother Fulmer graduated from the University of Alabama in 1964 with a B.S. in Business. Jim was appointed South Atlantic Grand Delta in 2000 and was elected Grand Tau in 2002. He is also a member of the Phi Kappa Sigma Foundation Board. He has been advisor to Gamma Lambda Chapter at UNC-Charlotte since its inception in 1986. Jim was named Phi Kappa Sigma Outstanding Advisor at the 1995 Grand Chapter and was named Outstanding Fraternity Advisor at UNC-Charlotte three times, once being named Outstanding Advisor of all groups over twenty members at UNC-Charlotte. Jim lives in Charlotte, NC and works as an Independent Loan Broker and Mortgage Broker for his company, Capstone Financial Services. He and his wife, Nancy, have two adult sons, Carl (a Kappa Sigma) and Scott. Other members of their family include a Shi Tzu, Katie Scarlett, and Thai our cat. Nancy is very involved with Alumnae Panhellenic and her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, having served as a Chapter Advisor and Province President (similar to our Grand Delta). Jim stays involved with his alma mater, serving on the University of Alabama Alumni Chapter Board as the Student Recruitment Coordinator for western North Carolina and is a fan of all UofA sports.
Grand Theta - Kevin Palmer, UC Riverside '84
Grand Theta - Michael Palladino, Georgia Tech '04
Brother Palladino graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in August 2004 with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. As an undergraduate, Mike was involved in nearly all aspects of his Chapter's operations, as well as the InterFraternity Council Educational Programming and Judicial Board committees. As Educational Programming chairman, the Peer Education program that Mike developed for the InterFraternity Council is now the defacto standard for educating new members on the prevention of hazing and alcohol abuse on the Georgia Tech campus. Before his graduation, Mike was a summer staff intern at the International Headquarters in 2003, working as a travelling recruitment consultant. As an alum, Mike has served as both an Assistant and Lead Facilitator for the Phi Kappa Sigma Men of Honor program, and has served as both the Assistant Director and Director of Chapter Expansion for our Expansion Committee. Currently, Mike is a Team Leader for Internap Network Services in the Network Operations Center, where he recently completed his first networking certification and has begun work on his second certification. He currently resides in Marietta, Georgia, where he pursues his passions of jet skiing and drumming in his free time. |
