TELL ME SOMETHING I DON'T KNOW Produced by the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, this video profiles a unique look at college binge drinking (20 minute DVD).
DRY SKULLS This 6 minute video goes over the Dry Skulls program and discusses the important issues surrounding Greeks today.
CAMPUS RAPE This 20 minute documentary-style video hosted by L.A. Law's Susan Day and Corbin Bernsen, examines the problem of rape on college campuses. The video utilizes 4 actual cases of women who were assaulted on different campuses. Two women were attacked by strangers and the other two were assaulted by acquaintances. Many students are interviewed about their attitudes on the subject. In addition, several effective methods are given to help prevent campus rape.
HAZING LIES Produced by the Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity, this video profiles a Chapter that lost its charter as a result of hazing activities. A short video, it hits home where hazing is concerned and is a real eye-opener.
HAZING ON TRIAL The video is narrated by Dave Westol, a Greek alumnus who was a prosecuting attorney. He demonstrates how a Chapter or person would be prosecuted in a hazing trial. Mr. Westol's presentation is very realistic and clearly shows the legal consequences that hazing has on a Chapter and its officers.
CNN-CROSSFIRE This 18-minute video program on Greeks is a debate between Jonathan Brant, National InterFraternity Conference Executive Vice-President, and Ken Mott, a Gettysburg College faculty member who initiated a faculty movement to eliminate that school's Greek system. Featuring lively debate, this demonstrates a proactive defense of fraternities. It especially helps officers dealing with anti-Greek administrations.
THE TRAP ZONE Mike Green is a former college athlete, a coach and a recovering alcoholic. His days in college were spent mainly playing football and drinking. Mr. Green does not tell students to stop drinking completely, but rather to identify the pattern of their drinking in the hopes of preventing students from becoming alcoholics. Every college student can relate to his stories and advice.
GREEKS AND AIDS: WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW This in-depth video on AIDS details the disease and its symptoms. It is presented by Gary Bonas, Greek Advisor at Villanova University, and provides a comprehensive and technical overview of AIDS and HIV. It is 22 minutes long and is produced by the National InterFraternity Conference.
AIDS:YOU'RE NOT IMMUNE This video is a good overview of the disease. It documents several victims struggle with the disease. This is a great video for the entire Chapter or your New Member class.
SIMPLE STEPS TO SUCCESSFUL RUSH This N.I.C. produced video aids Chapters in developing rush techniques. It is designed to be used during a rush presentation for the entire Chapter. Any rush chairman preparing such a seminar should seriously consider using this video.
DEMYTHOLOGIZING THE ANIMAL HOUSE Will Keim gives an inspiring talk on Greek life today. Mr. Keim is considered one of the top speakers for Greek affairs today. In this video, Greek life is shown from both good and bad perspectives. He outlines many of Greek life's adversaries in the world today. His most impressive attribute is his ability to speak such a way that any Greek could relate.
THIS IS MY HOUSE- BACCHUS The video is intended to show Fraternity members the problems and dilemmas that face a Chapter president. It also shows what can happen if a president does not address those problems within the Chapter. This is a good tape for Chapter presidents who are encountering resistance from their members.
FRATERNITIES AND ALCOHOL A Fraternal Law Production on Fraternities and the use of Alcohol. It is said that this video is so shocking that it can't be rented at a video store. Running time is 26 minutes.
THE RIGHT WAY TO RUSH,Volumes I & II The Right Way to Rush Volume One and Two are produced by the N.I.C. Volume one was presented by Phi Kappa Sigma. Both Videos are about 30 minutes long and explain the steps toward a successful rush season. They are excellent tools for your Chapter to use prior to recruitment.
PLAN TO GET OUT ALIVE This Video is a 45 minute video on fire safety that was produced by McVideo. It is a very informative video that teaches Chapter members about the dangers of a Chapter house fire and how to prevent it.
MOTIVATION The Motivation Video is designed to help you facilitate an interactive workshop and offer you a specific motivational strategy that best fits the needs of your group. This 20-minute videotape discusses Chapter apathy and membership involvement. The video provides four stopping points and instructs the viewers to refer to several interactive exercises in the complementary workbook. The motivational exercises personalize the points made under each section of the video. This video is produced by the N.I.C. |
